Richard Griffin
Richard is the director
of the Department of Economic Development for the City of
Frederick, Maryland since 2002. An accomplished economic
developer and urban planner with 15 years of professional
experience, he has worked in economic development and urban
planning for city, county, regional, and non-profit
organizations – including the Appalachian Council of Governments
in Greenville, SC, the City of Seattle, WA, Loudoun County, VA,
and the Downtown Frederick Partnership, in Frederick, MD. A
veteran, Richard also served in the US Army in Germany with the
11th Armored Cavalry Regiment and with the North
Carolina Army National Guard.
Richard holds degrees
from Western Carolina University and Clemson University. He and
his wife Lynne and sons Andrew and Daniel live in the Baker Park
community near downtown Frederick. |
