Sherry Challberg, President and CEO of Marligen Biosciences, Inc., has over 20 years experience in the biotech sector. Prior to founding Marligen in 2001, Dr. Challberg was R&D Director at Invitrogen/Life Technologies, where she led efforts in product and business development and directed a staff of 30 professionals to expand the amplification, purification, primers and genetic fingerprinting business units. During this time, Dr. Challberg was awarded a NIST ATP grant to develop highly multiplexed genetic fingerprinting technology. From 1985 until its acquisition by Digene Corporation in 1990, Dr. Challberg headed the molecular diagnostics product development group at Life Technologies.
