Shabri
Moore
Shabri Moore is the
President of Moore Wealth, Inc. a wealth
management firm specializing in small
business and personal financial advisory
services for business owners, executives
and professionals. A firm believer in the
phrase "education is power," Shabri
has developed a series of educational
seminars and workshops, is a financial
columnist for the Frederick News Post
Business Weekly and The Indus
Business Journal.
An active member the
Frederick community, she is a co-founder
and president of the Women’s Business
Network (a businesswoman’s networking
and educational organization), a board
member of the Frederick County Workforce
Development Group and a consultant for
SCORE. She has also served as a
board member of the Entrepreneur Council
of Frederick County, the Women’s
Commission of Frederick County and ProNet.
Prior to establishing her
financial services firm, Shabri spent
fifteen years in the biotech industry,
initially with the National Cancer
Institute. She was a research
scientist in the Fermentation and
Chemotherapy Program and instrumental in
the development and start-up of the
Recombinant DNA Laboratory at Fort
Detrick. Shabri’s biotechnology
experience includes a position with Oncor,
Inc as manager of the technical support
department and with Stratagene, Inc. as a
technical representative.
Shabri has previously been
a visiting science instructor with the
SciTech program in Illinois, and taught
students from elementary through post
secondary level.
Shabri holds a B.S. in
Biology from Marshall University and an
M.S. in Microbiology from N.C. State
University. She lives in Frederick
with her sons Sean and
Erik.
