   Edward Goley

   Mr. Edward Goley has over 30 years experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry. He has been responsible for manufacturing plant operations for Schering Plough Corporation in New Jersey and Puerto Rico.  Most recently he was Vice President and General Manager for MedImmune’s Frederick Manufacturing Center. Over his career, he has been instrumental in three major production facility start-ups – including design, construction and licensure with the Food and Drug Administration. His product experience includes virtually all types of pharmaceuticals and biologicals  – including monoclonal antibodies, immune globulins, bulk steroids, bulk antibiotics, and finished pharmaceuticals- parenterals, inhalation products, tablets, ointments, liquids, and creams. 
   Currently, Mr. Goley is very active in the Frederick community.  He is a member of the Frederick County Business Advisory Council and Workforce Development Board. He is the treasurer of the Frederick Innovative Technology Center.  He is a volunteer with the Frederick County Science and Engineering Fair and the Frederick Network for the Technology Council of Maryland. He is the treasurer and playing member of the Frederick Orchestra. In addition, Mr. Goley can be seen around town playing his trumpet (and conch shell) for charity events with the Frederick Dixieland Express and the classic rock group-Bad Dog.
   Mr. Goley holds a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, New Jersey and has completed the Management Development Program at Northeastern University, Andover, Massachusetts. He was also a commissioned officer in the US Army Reserve (1972-1978). He resides in Ijamsville with his wife of 32 years Irene. They have two grown children – Michael and Elizabeth who are both work in the biotechnology industry.
